New CIOB website is home for the best Construction Companies and Consultancies

If you are searching for quality construction companies and consultancies across the UK where do you go? The CIOB has the answer; the new Chartered Building Company and Consultancy (CBC) website www.cbcschemes.org.uk.

You can search by postcode, by contract size, by company or consultancy in the safe knowledge that the CBC you choose is a professionally run organisation who are both highly qualified and experienced.

The new website offers a geographical search facility with the option for members of the scheme to have their own dedicated pages.

The CBCs were created to give clients and customers the ability to recognise a professional construction organisation.

Employing a Chartered Building Company or Consultancy gives the client confidence that their project will be completed to a high standard, with professionalism, speed and efficiency.

All CBCs are required to sign up to and abide by a Code of Professional Conduct with the CIOB providing a formal conciliation service should any problems arise.

To become a member of the CBCs, each company or consultancy has to have a majority of the firm's Executive Board professionally qualified.

Only businesses that are led by Chartered professionals can become Chartered Building Companies or Consultancies.

Staff elsewhere within the organisation also have to be appropriately qualified, which means that those employees most likely to be working on operational projects are fully trained and competent.

The CIOB has a growing list of over 350 Chartered Building Company members and more than 150 Chartered Building Consultants.
