'Urban Renaissance' Held Back By Funding Obstacles
London Assembly has called upon the UK Government to show more determination in assisting public and private sector organisations to find new ways of funding large-scale regeneration projects.
The new site represents a significant step in the CIOB's progress towards making all of its information and services electronically available.
The site already attracts on average 20,000 visitors each month and with a more accessible and usable design, and even more services becoming electronically enabled, that figure is set to grow significantly.
Michael Brown CIOB deputy chief executive said, "The new CIOB website is the Institute's largest online project to date and shows our commitment to electronically connect our members with each other and the wider industry.
"The site has a powerful content management system that drives a simple clean design with many new and exciting functions.
We have incorporated a new online publication library that is fully searchable throughout the portal and connects all PDF documents across the site.
There is a new step-by-step guide to help manage the relationship between the public and builders, a comprehensive events calendar as well as a selection of construction jobs.
"CIOB members will see increasingly interactive communication solutions available through the new website.
A good example of this is the way members are helping to shape the future of the CIOB through our online webcast of the Institute's Governance Review.
