Fenestration thermal technology specialist, Thermbridge, has launched a new thermal insulation system for aluminium window and door systems.

The system, known as 'Clip and Pour', offers designers significant advantages over other forms of profile insulation.

The new system's thermal performance levels match those of polyamide for the same insulation width, but with the advantage that 'Clip and Pour' can be joined using low cost entry updates on existing 'thermal break' machinery, after the two halves of the profile have been finished.

Unlike some other methods of insulation, the mechanical performance of the 'Clip and Pour' system, does not deteriorate with age or process effect.

High levels of sheer strength and torsional rigidity are maintained throughout the life of the profiles, irrespective of width, making fabrication and fitting a reliable and stable process.

The image shows a design compatible with polyamide allowing either thermal breaking system to be used, depending on the project requirements, whilst maintaining the exact insulation width.

This design allows existing profiles to be modified to use either thermal break technology without the need to design a complete new system.

Managing Director of Thermbridge, Roger Jones, is confident that the system will provide a real future alternative for systems designers, "The 'Clip and Pour' system offers the highest comparison of strength to insulation values of any current thermal break system and we are confident that with developments recently undertaken the 'Clip and Pour" system will also be more competitive".

More information about this new groundbreaking 'Clip and Pour' system is available direct from Thermbridge by viewing their website.
