Singlemode LightCrimp Plus Fibre-optic Connectors
The AMP NETCONNECT Division of Tyco Electronics has introduced a singlemode version of the LightCrimp Plus range of fibre-optic connectors.
The new approach removes the need for this connector by introducing a sensor contact that provides a 110 punch-down to terminate the wires of the input/output cable.
These wires are supplied as a 'pigtail' equipped with an I/O connector at the far end to allow connectivity with AMPTRAC analysers.
These new AMPTRAC patch panels are available in Enhanced Category 5 and Category 6 versions.
They are fully compliant with the Class E link and channel performance requirements, and also exceed the more stringent de-embedded testing requirements of the EIA/TIA 568B.2-1 specification.
Both patch panels utilise a modular design comprising 24 modular SL jacks.
These developments represent a considerable improvement in the reliability and performance of the intelligent capability of these panels within the IIMS system.
