The AMP NETCONNECT Wireless Access Point, now available from Tyco Electronics, offers a cost-effective, robust and highly secure interface between wireless LAN systems and corporate communications networks in large and medium-sized enterprises Combining SNMP management with simultaneous and seamless dual-band operation at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, the new device provides a reliable, future-proofed solution for both legacy and emerging WLAN applications

Full compliance with the IEEE 802.11a, 11b and 11g standards allows easy connectivity at data rates of up to 54 Mbit/s.

Roaming support enables high-mobility clients to achieve very high data-rate communications with the corporate network at any WLAN location in the organisation.

Power-over-LAN cable eliminates the need for local AC power, and enables the access point to be powered over the LAN cable.

Ultra-high security is provided by a number of features including high-level encryption using WPA for standard networks, 802.1x authentication using TLS, T-TLS and MD5 for financial-grade networks, WPA (WiFi Protected Access) dynamic encryption, hidden SSID (Service Set ID) facilities and MAC access control lists.

The AMP NETCONNECT Access Point supports SNMP, Web Interface, Telnet and Console port management to allow the highest possible level of flexibility. Request a free brochure from Tyco Electronics/AMP NETCONNECT Division ...
