AMP NETCONNECT Business Unit of Tyco Electronics has appointed SOS Communications as an authorised AMP NETCONNECT Design and Installation Contractor in the UK.

The AMP NETCONNECT Business Unit of Tyco Electronics has appointed SOS Communications as an authorised AMP NETCONNECT Design and Installation (NDandI) Contractor in the United Kingdom.

Appointment as an NDandI Contractor means that the company is authorised to install AMP NETCONNECT open cabling Systems in compliance with ANSI/TIA/EIA 568-A and IEC/ISO 11801 as well as to the rigorous AMP NETCONNECT quality standards.

SOS Communications, based in Broadbridge Heath, West Sussex, has built its business by specialising in the sale, purchase and repair of new and second-user telecommunications systems.

Their expansion into network infrastructure products results from their excellent relationships with major telephone companies which, combined with their technical expertise and knowledge of key markets, means that they are well-positioned to serve the needs of this market.

Employing over 50 people and operating from a 20,000 square feet headquarters, SOS Communications places great emphasis on quality, and has recently been awarded ISO 9001:2000 accreditation.

The company also has a dedicated technical support department with in-house qualified engineers, and provides a wide range of training facilities.
