Tyco Electronics appoints q2 Communications

Tyco Electronics appoints q2 Communications as a NETCONNECT product Design and Installation Contractor.

The AMP NETCONNECT Business Unit of Tyco Electronics has appointed q2 Communications of Coventry as an authorised NETCONNECT Design and Installation (NDandI) Contractor in the United Kingdom.

Appointment as an NDandI Contractor means that the company is authorised to install AMP NETCONNECT open cabling product systems in compliance with ANSI/TIA/EIA 568-A and IEC/ISO 11801 as well as to the rigorous AMP NETCONNECT quality standards.

q2 Communications is an independent company established to provide a comprehensive range of voice and data network design and infrastructure installation services, with a particularly strong track record in the defence, education and design and build sectors.

The company is a MoD authorised supplier, and carries accreditation from other major communications systems manufacturers in addition to Tyco Electronics.

q2 Communications sets great store by its customer support and training capabilities, and recently held a seminar at which the AMP NETCONNECT Category 6 and 10 Gbit Ethernet connectivity product solutions were highlighted.
