Dorfone 2000 enables you to speak with your visitors on your own telephone before you decide to let them in.

Speak with your visitors on your own telephone before you decide to let them in The Dorfone is an intercom system that connects directly with domestic telephones including Cordless and Dect digital types.

A Slimline, stylish intercom panel at the front door is wired to the control electronics, which in-tern plugs into a master telephone socket.

Simple and easy to use, we recommend installation be made by a qualified person as minimal wiring is involved.

Dorfone allows you to use your standard telephone in the conventional way with added advantage of communicating with visitors before you decide to let them enter.

When a visitor presses the push button on the entry panel, the standard telephone will ring.

The door call can then be answered from any telephone in the house or flat.

Should the resident be next door with their cordless telephone, or in the garden, they can speak to the visitor, provided they are in the range of the base station.

If a lock release is fitted, it can be operated by a key press from the telephone.

Should the resident be speaking on the telephone when a visitor calls, the resident will hear a 'ding dong' in the earpiece.

He can then put the telephone call on hold, and speak to the visitor.

Should the resident be speaking to a visitor at the front door when a telephone call comes in, a low volume ring is heard in the earpiece.

He can then clear the front door call and answer the telephone call.

The system is TBR 21 approved for connection to the telephone network CE.
