Testo 330 and 335 Flue Gas Analysers gain independent accreditation for conformity to BS EN 50379 Standard.

gain independent accreditation for conformity to BS EN 50379 Standard.

On the 1 March 2007 a new European standard relating to portable electronic apparatus designed to measure combustion flue gas parameters from heating appliances will come into force.

This new European standard will supersede the current BS 7927 standard.

All flue gas analysers purchased after 1 March 2007 should conform to BS EN 50379.

The Testo 330 and Testo 335 flue gas analysers have recently been independently tested by TUV SUD - an internationally recognised German testing authority - and have been accredited for conformity with BS EN 50379-1/2/3.

This new standard tests the function of the analyser in a number of areas including accuracy, repeatability, stability and temperature drift.

In addition, the analysers are subjected to a number of tests which confirm the durability and performance of the instrument, including drop test, impact strength, vibration, a cold start test and testing of the filters and condensate trap.

John Corner, Market Manager for Heating Products at Testo , explains what this independent accreditation means to Testo, "We are proud that our Testo 330 and Testo 335 flue gas analysers have been independently accredited to conform with BS EN 50379".

"We believe that independent assessment and accreditation gives our customers the security of knowing that when they purchase a Testo flue gas analyser that it will give them optimum performance over a long lifetime.
