Further speakers announced for Think 08

More big name speakers to debate on sustainability in the built environment.

Think 08 is fast approaching and we are pleased to announce that a number of additional speakers have confirmed their participation.

Following the success of 2007's inaugural event, Think 08 is to be held on the 7th and 8th May 2008 at London's ExCel Centre in Docklands.

Think 08 focuses on sustainability in the built environment and will explore the economic, social and environmental challenges in delivering sustainable development.

Hillary Benn, Sir Howard Bernstein, Peter Rogers MBE, Che Wall, Herbert Girardet and Gideon Amos are already confirmed to speak at this landmark event.

We can now also announce the following participants: On the construction stream.

- Richard Cox, Head of Energy at BAA, will participate in Wednesday's Rethinking Energy session.

- Gottfried Pschill of Energiepark Bruck and Steffie Broer of ESD will be part of the Sustainability on Four Continents debate.

- Richard Dunne, headmaster of Ashley CofE primary school is speaking at the Inspiring Sustainable Skills session.

- Rob Watts, Project Director at Stanhope and John Southgate, Director at Capita Symonds will join the discussion on Zero Waste and Murray Coleman, UK Chief Executive, Bovis Lend Lease will take part in one of the plenary sessions.

On the property stream.

- Siobhan Cross, Partner at Pinsent Masons is an additional speaker in the Landlord vs.

Tennant debate.

- Douglas Oakervee, Chariman of Crossrail, will take part in Thursday's Laboratory London - making a sustainable capital Session.

On the Regeneration stream.

Richard Hawkins, Director at Hawkins Brown, will be joining Wednesday's Embracing the existing estate and communities session.

Sir Richard MacCormac, Chairman, MacCormac Jamieson Prichard, is to participate in Thursday's Rural independence - making Britain's greatest asset more sustainable discussion.

This high profile line up will look at the wider responsibilities of the property and construction industry in dealing with the issues of climate change, urban renewal and redevelopment.

Think very much captures the spirit of our times and will help to guide the future direction of the property and construction industry as it aims to meet the demands of our changing business climate.
