North West manufacturers eager to fight off the competitive threat from low wage economies such as China are learning how to sharpen their competitive edge and reduce production costs as part of a fast track lean manufacturing programme, starting this month The Accelerated Route to Lean Manufacturing programme is being run by The Manufacturing Institute and led by some of Britain's best manufacturing experts and practitioners
