Project Value: £2,800,000.

Project Description: This project is part of two city academy development schemes proposed by the labour government involving all mechanical and electrical installation.

Project Features: This project included a fire alarm inclusive of 4 tone class change system, hearing enhancement, structure cabling, irrigation, vent systems, and under floor heating to the sports and drama halls.

As this school was very environmentally focused, systems were put in place such as rainwater harvesting, photovoltaic systems, and solar water heating to help achieve excellent in BREAMM recognition.

Smith Group have become specialist installers in both pre-designed and design and build colleges and schools, and are proud to have formed a close partnership with the building and design teams at Kensington.

With their commitment to quality and economy not only in terms of buildability, but having taken into account site cost, Smith Group have assisted in the completion of this very prestigious project and are proud to have been an integral part of the build team that worked so well.
