Project Description: Ormskirk High School is the largest single building school in the UK.
It includes works from Smith's Electrical and Mechanical services, and Cannon Security who carried out CCTV, access controls, and security systems throughout.
Project Features: The Smith Group was invited in at the initial stages of development to propose and later design and install the full range of engineering services.
The contract encompassed security, fire alarms, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, sanitaryware, full electrical and a building management system that allowed central management and diagnostics of all the building systems and utilities.
The Smith Group also proposed and implemented progressive lighting systems and a grey water regeneration system that allowed rainwater to be fed from an underground tank into the toilets for flushing.
