TL Jones Appoints South African Distributor

TL Jones has appointed Associated Lifts Ltd as its new distributor in South Africa.

Based in Johannesburg, Associated Lifts focuses primarily on lift maintenance and modernisation, as well as providing consulting services and project management to building owners, or developers working on new or existing equipment.

The company has been involved in many prestigious international projects, the largest of which being the one-billion-dollar (US) Madinat Jumeirah Hotel complex and resort in Dubai.

Steve Schnetler, Director of Associated Lifts, explains why he welcomed the partnership with TL Jones: "Since we aren't forced to rely on original manufacturers' upgrade equipment, it makes sense for us to align ourselves with quality component suppliers and we have therefore decided to exclusively make use of TL Jones' Microscan units for lift door protection.

"These components have been used in various installations with complete success.

The most noteworthy application would be the Kendal Power Station in Witbank, South Africa, where Microscan edges have impressed us with their reliable performance in very demanding conditions.".
