The Health and Safety People successfully provided expert health and safety guidance on ITV's recently televised contestant challenge programme 'Building The Dream'.

The Health and Safety People, a fast growing consultancy offering an in-depth range of health and safety services, successfully provided expert health and safety guidance on ITV's recently televised contestant challenge programme 'Building The Dream'.

The Health and Safety People initially provided a thorough self-awareness course for all contestants during the first week of the show.

This was followed by one of the company's consultants acting as a safety linesmen, conducting ongoing inspections and offering advice on safe ways of working to ensure contestants never put themselves or others at risk.

The Health and Safety People carried out a thorough risk assessment and wrote health and safety method statements to provide all parties working on the site with a clear outline of all potential hazards and appropriate safe working practices.

In addition, The Health and Safety People's representative was the first aider on site.

The "Building The Dream" programme started with twelve sets of couples each vying to win their dream home.

After just three months of working, the couples together with a builder and accompanying sub-contractors managed to construct a house from an empty plot of land to the finished article.

Following thirteen weeks of hard work and the excitement of weekly evictions, the contestants were finally whittled down to the final couple Darren and Stacey who have now won the perfect home.
