Treadfast offers total smoothing solution

Treadfast Uniflow, Treadfast Unitex and Treadfast Unismooth offer specifiers and contractors an integrated approach to achieving very flat, smooth and hardwearing surfaces.

Modern industrial facilities and high specification commercial premises now often require standards of smoothness for the floor slab that, just a few years ago, would have only been applicable to indoor bowls arenas - a situation Tremco has responded to through the development of a comprehensive range of products which, meeting HTM 61 requirements, can also be used in the healthcare sector.

Treadfast Uniflow, Treadfast Unitex and Treadfast Unismooth offer specifiers and contractors an integrated approach to achieving very flat, smooth and hardwearing surfaces.

This might be as preparation for installing a damp proof membrane, laying a floorcovering such as sheet vinyl, or to serve as a wearing surface in a location like a warehouse.

Treadfast Uniflow is a one part, self levelling cementitious flooring compound offering very rapid rates of progress.

Up to 2,000 square metres can be laid per day in thicknesses from 5-15 mm across concrete subfloors.

When used in conjunction with Treadfast One Coat Universal or Treadfast Fastrak Universal liquid DPMs, no priming is required, provided a maximum thickness of 6mm is not exceeded.

The blend of special cements, graded fillers, modified polymers and high flow admixtures makes Treadfast Uniflow very economic to use as well as very strong and durable.

While Treadfast Uniflow is frequently applied as a self levelling screed in places such as new build schools, hospitals and food production facilities, Treadfast Unismooth is a general purpose, trowel or pump applied compound often used for smoothing uneven subfloors in refurbishment situations such as shop-fitting.

Rapid setting, Treadfast Unismooth remains usable for 20 minutes and cures within two to four hours to minimise disruption.

Combined with a clean, 3 mm binder, it can be applied at depths in excess of 8 mm.

Formulated as a cementitious powder dispersed in liquid latex, Treadfast Unitex is a two part, general purpose smoothing underlayment suitable for a variety of internal applications.

Again, giving a 20 minute pot life, it is used for the preparation and smoothing of substrates such as concrete, sand/cement screeds, flooring grade asphalt and Treadfast damp proof membranes.

Treadfast Unitex is also low odour.

Together the three products present an integrated answer to completing floor constructions to the best possible standards of flatness and surface quality: enhancing wear characteristics and simplifying the installation of floorcoverings or equipment sensitive to level variation.
