Car park new deck protected by Tremco Rapide

New deck surfaced by Tremco illbruck's high performance Rapide waterproofing and wearing course system at a multi-storey car park in Sussex.

When new parking spaces were required for a multi-storey car park in Sussex, the solution involved a new deck surfaced by Tremco illbruck's high performance Rapide waterproofing and wearing course system.

The main contractor for this challenging project at the Crawley Leisure Park was the Longley part of The Kier Group, while the structural engineer was Michael Bradbrook Consultants.

LRK Associates was the architectural consultancy involved.

The specialist installer of the Tremco Rapide 3.0 FR system was Cemplas Waterproofing and Concrete Repairs .

The sub-contractor duly laid more than 1000 square metres of the fleece reinforced, liquid applied membrane system to seal the reinforced concrete structure, together with the new access ramps.

Commenting on the outcome of the project, Tony Blencowe of Cemplas explains: "When we were invited to tender for this contract we did so on the basis of utilising Rapide system.

This is not simply because it is a fast curing, hardwearing and competitive system, but also because of the long working relationship we have enjoyed with Tremco as a manufacturer.

The installation of the Rapide 3.0 FR was completed on time and to budget.
