Specialist Applicator Succeeding With Tretoplast
Tretoplast from Tremco is used, for example, when installing and repairing sterile coatings for hospitals and other clients requiring clean room conditions.
The car park has a structural steel frame carrying precast concrete plates spanning between the beams, and then an in-situ concrete topping covering that.
The latter is some 75 mm thick and requires the inclusion of expansion joints.
"The car park was completed on time and to programme.
This is a very busy hospital and everyone was delighted to have the extra car parking capacity available.
The project has been a real success".
Tremco illbruck supplied the Compriband Superspan FP 115/60 Ni profile which was set into the structural topping by Graham Martin's own specialist operatives.
The profile has a stainless steel capping for a long lasting service life and allows movement in all 3 plains.
On the upper deck where the movement joint had to be incorporated into the asphalt topping, the specification switched to the shorter leg profile and incorporated the Long Side Sealing Sheets that meld into the hot laid bitumen/asphalt.
