Duralite is 96% better than typical aluminium spacer systems in terms of conductivity.

A hard hitting microsite published on the internet by Tremco illbruckreveals some startling figure s which put the company's Duralite IG spacer system at the top of the pile when it comes to thermal efficiency.

Duralite is no less than 96% better than typical aluminium spacer systems in terms of conductivity, offers 75% lower moisture vapour transmission than hot melt systems and 60% lower than PIB, while Duralite experiences 80% less condensation than non warm edge systems.

All figures are based on internal and external data up to the values shown.

Tremco illbruck also points out that Duralite can help companies seeking Window Energy Rating to score higher by giving their windows up to 18 extra ratings points when compared with the same specification IG units with aluminium spacers.

This level of performance comes from the patented design which features composite laminating technology without the use of metal.

Duralite is an all-in-one spacer system designed for high volume production of IG units in a one-step process where units are sealed using heat and compression.

Designed as a single seal system, Duralite can also be used with a secondary sealant to create a dual seal unit.
