The Concrete Centre is to hold a CPD short course on low carbon housing using concrete at the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh.

The Concrete Centre is to hold a CPD short course on low carbon housing using concrete at the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh, on Wednesday 31st October 2007.

The course will focus on the changes to current practice contained within the Code for Sustainable Homes and the Green Guide.

It will examine the role of architecture in an ecoculture and the development and use of passive design strategies and climate control.

Also included will be how current methods of concrete construction can be adapted to provide low carbon housing.

Course leader is Professor Sue Roaf, a building consultant working with the Green Consultancy and The Carbon Trust.

She is also the author of the recently published 'Ecohouse' The course fee is GBP110 plus VAT.
