The Concrete Centre is to hold one-day course on Building Design to Eurocode 2: Theory and Worked Examples.

The course will be held at the University of Salford on Thursday 21st February 2008.

It is aimed at civil and structural engineers wanting a greater understanding of the general rules, main features and changes contained in Eurocode 2 and the accompanying National Annex for UK specific conditions.

In particular, the course will cover the Eurocode system, basis of design, structural analysis, material properties, design for bending, deflection and crack control.

The main approaches to structural fire design are also explained and attendees have the opportunity to design structural elements via worked examples.

The course represents 6 CPD hours.

The cost of the course is GBP195 plus VAT.
