Building Design to Eurocode 2
The Concrete Centre is to hold a one-day course entitled Building Design to Eurocode 2: Theory and Worked Examples.
The course will be held at the University of Derby on Thursday 26 June 2008 It is aimed at civil and structural engineers want to gain a greater understanding of the general rules, main features and changes contained in Eurocode 2 and the accompanying National Annex for UK specific conditions
In particular, the course will cover the Eurocode system, basis of design, structural analysis, material properties, design for bending, deflection and crack control.
The main approaches to structural fire design will also be explained, and attendees will have the opportunity to design structural elements via worked examples.
The course represents 6 CPD hours.
The cost of the course is GBP150 plus VAT.
