Striebig saw picked for timber cutting service
Euroken Supplies has bought a new-look Striebig Standard vertical panel saw for its new branch in Stanmore, Middlesex.
Smaller Compact machines are used at its branches at Edenbridge and New Malden, where the available space is more limited.
The Standard TRK2 4216 has a maximum cutting size of 3300 x 2160mm and a maximum depth of cut of 80mm.
It has been setting the standard in the universal class for vertical panel saws for many years.
Its flexibility and wide number of build sizes and options makes it the ideal panel saw for companies of all sizes.
Like the other Striebig saws, the Standard cuts sheet material including plywood, MDF, chipboard, MDF, OSB and veneered boards, with the first two cuts available free of charge and a free local delivery service offered.
It also makes easy work of sizing 40mm thick kitchen work tops and 45mm thick door blanks.
Said the branch manager at Sutton, Darren Stute: "The Striebig is robust and sturdy and gives us a perfect cut".
"It's easy to set up and use and is totally idiot proof; designed so that you can't make a mistake with it".
"After seeing the Standard in use at Dorking I knew it was the machine for us".
It replaced another manufacturer's vertical panel saw that was not up to the job".
"The old saw was not strong enough for the constant use required of it and often had difficulty in cutting through some of the sheet materials," said Mr Stute.
"The Standard has made us more efficient and allows us to provide totally accurate cut pieces of sheet material for our customers every time".
Like the three other saws it was supplied and installed by Striebig's exclusive UK dealer, T.M.Machinery Sales of Leicester.
A spokesman for Champion Timber said: "We are staying with Striebig saws for our sheet cutting for a number of reasons".
"These include cost, reliability and the good after-sales service provided by the supplier".
Champion Timber has been a family-owned and run company for over 75 years.
It sources its own timber and machines it in its own mill, therefore controlling the quality and continuity of supply.
It also stocks a wide selection of tool and timber-related products.
