Avon Timber calls on Striebig Compact
Investing in a Striebig Compact vertical panel saw has brought greater accuracy and ease of use to the sizing of sheet materials at Avon Timber.
They join existing Compact series machines with cut sizes of 3100 x 1644mm, 4600 x 2070mm and 4600 x 2200mm.
Each has a maximum cutting depth of 60mm.
All five models are now available in versions incorporating an automatic cut cycle facility to make them even more productive.
This feature was previously only to be found on Striebig's more expensive Control models.
With manual feeding of the saw unit eliminated in the new Compact AV models the operator's job is made much easier, giving him time to prepare the next sawing job.
Matt Pearce, sales co-ordinator at Striebig's long-standing sole UK distributor, T.M.Machinery Sales, said: "Until now the automatic cut cycle facility was only available with the more sophisticated and expensive Control.
The new Compact AV series is effectively a budget-priced version of the Control and confirms Striebig's position as the front runner in vertical panel saw technology for entry-level users as well as those requiring greater productivity.
"As the operator does not have to move the panel once it has been placed on the saw he can concentrate on preparing the next batch of panels to be sized, making it a big time saver".
All Compact series models feature central support and small parts support over the entire length of the saw, making the cutting of small work pieces much easier.
A scoring saw is available as an option to prevent laminate panel edges from tearing out, ensuring a neat cut ready to be glued.
A Compact AV is available for demonstration at T.M.
Machinery's Leicester showroom and will also be featured alongside other Striebig saws on the company's stand at the W8 show next October at the National Exhibition Centre.
