Architecture lecture on 'Working with Artists'

Mackie Ramsay Taylor Lecture Series 2007 at RGU's Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment continues with talk entitled 'Working with Artists'.

Architecture lecture series welcomes renowned international speaker The Mackie Ramsay Taylor Lecture Series 2007 at RGU's Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment will continue with a talk entitled 'Working with Artists' from Paul Robbrecht on Thursday 15 February.

Paul graduated in 1974 in Ghent, Belgium and formed his practice with Hilda Daem the following year (www.robbrechtendaem.com ).

They often work with artists and have demonstrated a mastery of structure, form and interior space in works such as: the new Bruges Concert Hall; the House for Musicians in Gassbeek; and the 'Documenta' Art Pavilions in Kassel, Germany.

Paul has also taught internationally including at the Architectural Association, London and State University of Ghent.

The lecture series is sponsored by architects Mackie, Ramsay Taylor (MRT) who have been the lead architects in many high profile projects including Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre and Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital.

The lectures are free to attend and the series runs weekly on Thursday evenings, until May 2007.

Students will have the opportunity to take part in workshops with the weekly speakers and the public will be invited to each talk at 5pm in lecture theatre SB42 at The Scott Sutherland School on Garthdee Road.

One lecture per month will include a free reception by invitation.
