Design management seminar at RGU

The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment at The Robert Gordon University to hold design management seminar.

Focusing on architecture and architectural technology, the event aims to stimulate and enrich debate on a range of current and emerging issues impacting undergraduate/postgraduate education and practice.

The seminar will explore the impact of information and communication technologies (ICTs) on design and process management within the built environment.

Invited guest speakers will present trigger papers to address themes including: 'Working at the interface between design and construction' by Peter Demian, Department of Building and Civil Engineering at Loughborough University; 'The language of technical architecture' by Norman Wienand, Head of Architecture at Sheffield Hallam University; 'What is Building Information Modelling?' by James Harty, a PhD candidate from Copenhagen Technical Academy; and 'Emerging applications for information and communication technologies - 3D printing' by Kelvin Donaldson, Director of Gilberts Architects, Edinburgh.

There will also be a workshop discussion session and an opportunity to tour the exhibitions on display.

The event is held at RGU's Scott Sutherland School from 8.30am - 2pm.

Registration is GBP45, includes tea / coffee and buffet lunch.
