Lecture to focus on sustainability initiatives
Robert Gordon University has announced that Gokay Deveci is to present a free professional lecture on sustainable housing projects on 5 May 2009 at 18:00.
In his lecture, Deveci will present his most recent practice-based research initiatives, explaining how he has endeavoured to bring new thinking to projects commissioned by housing associations, local councils and other housing providers.
Deveci is a professor and chartered architect at the university's Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment.
Working from the school, where he leads a practice-based research unit, Deveci has made major contributions to innovative housing design, specifically relating to low-energy and low-cost solutions using appropriate technologies and building materials.
