Jim Paul has been appointed as new Chief Executive Officer at Tensar International, worldwide leader in provision and manufacturer of best value soil reinforcement and ground stabilisation solutions.

Jim, 55, comes to the position following the recent retirement of Roger Duckworth who had been CEO at the company since 1984 He has an extensive background in the civil engineering industry having worked at Tensar for 22 years where he began as a sales engineer in Scotland, and later became Director of the Civil Engineering Division, a position he has held since 1987

Jim graduated in Civil Engineering at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.

For the last eight years he has been a council member of the International Geosynthetics Society and is also a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Jim comments, "I am looking forward to the opportunity to focus completely on our current mission to be the number one provider of solutions in our soil reinforcement, ground stabilisation and industrial markets.

I also look to build market share in Tensar's major markets in the face of increasing competition and creating markets in geographical areas we have not yet developed.

Jim lives near Clitheroe in the Ribble Valley, just north of the company's base in Blackburn.
