Toolstation is the first company in the UK to offer the innovative Screw-Tite from Tite-Fix in its mail order catalogue.

Screw-Tite is available in Toolstation's new September catalogue, headlining an extensive screws and fixings range It is a leading, technically advanced, high performance woodscrew for the discerning tradesperson, which cleverly incorporates the benefits of a single thread and a twin thread on the same screw, with insertion time at least twice as fast as other quality screws

One of its main features is the Tri-Lock shank which forms as well as cuts a thread, which means 25% less insertion torque than a standard woodscrew, but more importantly the screw will not work loose over time as the wood flexes under use.

As a result of its core to size ratio, Screw-Tite also performs with the versatility of a screw a gauge smaller but with greater strength, enabling jointing securely with a lighter gauge screw but with less splitting and damage to the material.

Other features include a part-thread shank which reduces 'jacking' (the parting of jointed material); under-head ribs which self-countersink the screw; and a permeated case with through hardening which gives it the strength of a high tensile bolt and eliminates the need for pilot holes even in hard wood.

Stocked by Toolstation in 19 sizes from 12mm to 100mm, the Screw-Tite range answers the needs of all normal applications.

Copies of the new Toolstation brochure which includes over 8,500 product lines spanning tools and accessories, fixings, hardware, adhesives and sealants, plumbing and electrical fittings, are available from Toolstation.
