Totty Building Services secures additional work at the Royal Oldham Hospital.

Totty Building Services, the special projects division of Totty Construction, has secured a GBP 480K project from the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, to convert a former ward at the Royal Oldham Hospital, into new office accommodation This latest project follows the recent completion of a GBP 1 million Stroke Ward at the hospital, which Totty handed over at the end of last year, and will run in tandem with a GBP 1 million project for the Trust at North Manchester General Hospital, to construct a new pathology lab

The work at the Marjorie Lees Unit in Oldham, will see Totty Building Services strip out the former children's ward and construct new walls and partitions to form the administrative offices.

Totty will replace and refurbish external doors and windows in the single-storey building and install new wall, ceiling, and floor finishes.

The building will comply with the latest Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) regulations following the extensive refurbishment, with improved accessibility and revised w/c facilities.

Externally, Totty will carry out hard and soft landscaping, with the project commencing at the end of March, and due for completion by mid-August.

Philip Ryder, operations director for Totty Building Services, commented: "We continue to demonstrate our strong healthcare credentials by securing additional opportunities with our NHS Trust clients".

"Totty's partnership with the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust continues to grow in strength resulting in high quality, consistently delivered new build and refurbishment solutions.".
