Totty Building Services, the special projects division of Totty Construction, has negotiated a further contract at The University of Manchester's Stopford Building, with a GBP 575K strip out and refurbishment project win At the end of last year, the company also secured a GBP 600K enabling package at the building, one of the University's largest facilities on campus, which is due to be the focus of a major GBP 20 million re-development later in 2005

Totty will strip out and refurbish laboratories on the third floor of the Stopford Building to upgrade facilities ahead of the redevelopment.

The company will install new suspended ceilings, laboratory furniture and soft floor finishes.

A key element of the project is also the construction of a new external medical gas compound, with Totty Building Services installing around 3.8 km's of pipe work from this secure facility running through into the refurbished laboratories.

Philip Ryder, operations director for Totty Building Services, commented: "The Stopford Building is at the heart of The University of Manchester's re-development plans, and this latest contract award highlights the strength of our ongoing relationship with the University".
