Totty Construction helps build a better
future
Totty Construction, has secured a second education-sector project at Wigan and Leigh College in as many weeks, working on a GBP 12.5 million contract to construct a new-build teaching facility.

The new three-storey teaching block will house one of the most comprehensive complexes in the North West for training the students, apprentices and trades people of the future - constructed close to the existing Pagefield Building, on the Wigan campus.
The purpose-built centre will provide first-rate facilities in a range of teaching and specialist workshop areas, hosting courses from civil engineering and bricklaying, to carpentry, painting, decorating, plumbing and interior design.

Totty Construction, the northern-based main contractor, has been awarded a £7.7m design and build contract for a 13 storey teaching and student accommodation block at Leeds College of Music.
Two New Contracts For Manchester Regional Team
Two new contracts have been won by the new Totty Building Services regional team in Manchester.
It will also house the College's work in electrical installation, electronic engineering and motor vehicle engineering.
With a steel frame structure and part pre-cast floors, the new building will feature a brick and render external treatment and an aluminium-clad roof.
The project is due to commence mid-May, with a completion date scheduled for mid-September 2006.
John Gittins, managing director of Totty Construction's public sector division, explained: "Demonstrating a firm commitment to quality and innovative building solutions, Totty is working closely with Wigan and Leigh College to design and build a facility that provides flexible accommodation for its vocational courses.
This latest project further highlights Totty Construction's growing reputation for winning keynote education sector projects across the North of England.
Jim Crewdson, College Principal, said, "This innovative project will give a further boost to Wigan and Leigh College's strong provision of vocational education and training.
We are proud of our record in delivering quality courses at all levels, including Higher Education, for individuals and businesses.
The College is building for the future, with support from the Learning and Skills Council for our capital projects at both Wigan and Leigh, and the new centre will be a major part of our GBP 30 million redevelopment scheme.".
