ISG Totty puts away latest deal at HMP

Latest project at HMP Preston will see ISG Totty strip the existing roof on the Victorian chapel building and replace this with a modern pitched composite metal roof design.

ISG Totty has been awarded a GBP1 million project with the National Offender Management Service (NOMS) at HMP Preston, under its seven-year partnering framework deal to encompass refurbishment, alteration, extension, planned maintenance and minor works projects for the Service's North-West region This latest project at HMP Preston in Lancashire will see ISG Totty strip the existing roof on the Victorian chapel building and replace this with a modern pitched composite metal roof design

The contractor will commence work to stabilise and retain the building's impressive timber roof supports, as well as carry out internal remodelling and rationalisation of space, and undertake remedial repairs to the chapel's facade.

The fast-track project is due for completion in January 2007.
