Totty Completes £33 Million Hat Trick
Totty Construction, the northern-based main contractor, has been awarded the final phase of the high profile Brewery Wharf residential development, by Barratt Leeds.
Work has commenced on site to construct a new single-storey extension, which will be used as classroom space during the construction programme and then become the school's new permanent staff room.
Once this extension is built, the contractor will install a new innovative thermally efficient membrane roof covering over the entire building.
A new glazed panel will be introduced into the roof above the girls' welfare facilities, to enhance the amount of natural light entering this area, and all existing timber windows replaced with modern aluminium frame units.
The school will be completely rewired during the refurbishment and improved ventilation systems installed in kitchen and welfare areas.
ISG Totty Building will reconfigure the existing staff room to create a new disabled toilet facility, with the remaining space providing a multi-use area.
General refurbishment will be carried out across the school, which will include the installation of new ceiling tiles, installation of a replacement boiler and alterations to the rainwater drains to accommodate new roofing details.
Philip Ryder, managing director of ISG Totty Building, commented: "Since opening our regional office in Manchester in 2004, ISG Totty Building continues to make its presence felt within the North-West market".
