Tenstor working to cut accidents in workplace

A Tensator product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jul 27, 2009

Tensator, with its reputation in the queue management and safety sector, launches a campaign to improve standards in UK workplaces, highlighting ways to minimise accidents.

Barrier system specialist Tensator has reported an increase in businesses asking for support to reduce the number of accidents in the workplace.

The rise coincides with figures that show during 2008, there were more than 27,000 injuries reported to the Health and Safety Executive.

Chris Wilson, Tensator's business development manager for the Health and Safety sector commented: "We have had a noticeable increase in enquiries from sectors such as warehousing, logistics and distribution, and transport".

"There are a number of easy, cost-effective solutions that can be implemented to help prevent accidents in the workplace.

Simple solutions include barrier systems and regular staff training.

"Retractable belt barriers and wall-mounted units for example, can cordon off and increase visibility of wet, dangerous and non-access areas during maintenance, or when sites with machinery, loading bays and servicing pits are not in use".
