As part of investing in the local community, TPS Consult Croydon office has agreed to provide work experience under a pilot scheme BELS (Business and Education in South London).
As part of investing in the local community, TPS Consult Croydon office has agreed to provide work experience for a student, 17 year old James Myers from Archbishop Tennison's CE High School, under a pilot scheme BELS (Business and Education in South London), in partnership with Hawk Training Group Hawk provides work-based Modern Apprenticeships for 16 to 24 years old in a variety of occupational areas

TPS Consult, the professional services division of Carillion Plc, has started work on a project to convert, extend and refurbish the Victorian swimming baths in Birmingham.
In association with BELS, TPS will be providing James with valuable work experience in his chosen field and Hawk Training will be assessing James in the workplace in order for him to work towards a nationally-recognised qualification.
This is part of a Government Funded Programme for 16 19 year olds in full time education to boost their career prospects and enhance their CV.
South London, Croydon in particular, has been chosen as the area to pilot this initiative.
James Myers will join the Architects department at TPS on Friday 16th January 04 and on Fridays from then on for 20 weeks.
James has some previous IT skills and during his Christmas break has familiarized himself with basic CAD skills in preparation for his training with TPS.
