Victorian Baths To Bubble Back To Life
TPS Consult, the professional services division of Carillion Plc, has started work on a project to convert, extend and refurbish the Victorian swimming baths in Birmingham.
Architecture, civil and structural engineering design will be undertaken by TPS Consult, with M and E design being provided to Haden Young, which will also be the M and E sub-contractor.
The integrated team comprising Skanska, TPS Consult, Haden Young and PCSL (pre-cast subcontractor) have already successfully completed two houseblocks, at Edinburgh and Polmont prisons, which were handed over to the Scottish Prison Service last year and are now fully operational.
Douglas Wilson, Director of the team for TPS Consult said: "After the success of the first two projects, it is excellent to be working with the same construction partners and we are looking forward to successfully delivering two further houseblocks to the Scottish Prison Service." The projects are due for completion by the end of 2005.
