Lottery Sports Grants To Be Checked By

The Big Lottery Fund has appointed TPS Consult to act as Technical Advisors (TA's) on the various sports projects around the country to which it has allocated National Lottery funding.

The TPS Consult TA's will check that the grants are spent on the approved projects and that budget, programme and quality is maintained in line with the brief It will report back on a regular basis on each project

Initially, TPS will be providing seven TA's as part of a team allocated to visit an estimated 300 projects across the various regions of England.

In addition TPS Consult are providing Capital Facilities Advisors to assist in the assessment of applications for project funding.

George Parker, TPS consult major projects director, said: "Lottery money has been donated by the public and it is important that it is distributed and spent in line with the fund objectives.

We will be checking that the money has been used in line with the brief and the grant approval made by Big Lottery Fund, and Issue reports confirming our findings.
