More Work For TPS Schal - And It's All

The Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA) has appointed TPS Schal to its framework panel of technical project managers.
The DCA, which was created in July last year, takes over the role of the Lord Chancellor's Department, which has been in existence, in one form or another, for over 900 years The DCA has responsibility for justice, rights and the constitution, and administers the courts, the appointment of judges, administration of legal aid and oversees the Government's programme of civil legislation and reform

This will include project planning, ensuring adherence to budgets and timescales, monitoring pre-qualification, tender submissions and ensuring financial close.
Various procurement routes will be used including Private Finance Initiative (PFI) and Private Developer Schemes (PDS).
Steve Child, TPS Schal director, said: "This is certainly a sphere where TPS has considerable experience.
Apart from work on the new £30 million Manchester Magistrates Court, under a PFI, we are also working on the extension to the Royal Court for the States of Guernsey.
"Previously, we have completed work on crown and county courts in Telford, Worcester, Kingston, Reading, Sheffield and Greenock, and worked on the Royal Courts of Justice in London." TPS has other framework agreements in the justice arena including HM Prison Service, covering England and Wales, and the Scottish Prison Service.
