Engineer Joins TPS From Other Side Of
The World
Australian Matthew Goodall joins TPS Consult as a graduate civil/structural engineer. He is currently working on the £5 million Polmont Regimes project located at the existing HMYOI Polmont prison.
Based at the Edinburgh office, Matthew is currently working on the £5 million Polmont Regimes project located at the existing HMYOI Polmont prison The project involves the construction of a two level Regimes training facility, the erection of a new perimeter fence and wall to fully enclose the new facility, the construction of internal access roads, retaining walls and the construction of a new secure link corridor connecting the new facility with the existing prison

TPS Consult, the professional services division of Carillion Plc, has started work on a project to convert, extend and refurbish the Victorian swimming baths in Birmingham.
Matthew has been responsible for the design of primary and secondary steelwork, foundations, cladding and masonry for the new Regimes building.
Much of the design involved using the latest CSC software 'Fast Track Building Designer'.
He has also been involved in the design of some of the external works including drainage and retaining walls.
Matthew has a BEng degree in civil engineering from the University of Southern Queensland, and is also a graduate member of Engineers Australia.
Engineers Australia enables Matthew to keep up to date with engineering development back in Australia and also helps to continue his professional development towards chartered status.
