Brand new TPS

A TPS product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Nov 8, 2006

TPS has undertaken a major re-branding exercise to build upon the increasing strength the Carillion brand has in the market.

Carillion's design and management consultancy TPS has changed.

Over the last six months the company has grown by over 30% and now incorporates Schal, Carillion Property Legislation (Building Regulations approved inspectors), Surveying Services (QS and building surveyors) and ex-Mowlem Structural Asset Management.

To reflect this new integrated design and consultancy solution TPS has undertaken a major re-branding exercise to build upon the increasing strength the Carillion brand has in the market.

Shaun Carter, TPS's Managing Director leading the change, explains: "It's important to Carillion to bring together all our fee-based consultancy businesses.

The brand change allows us to show our clients we are part of an integrated Carillion business - bringing strength and depth to our service.

Of course we don't only work with Carillion - in fact 18% of our work is with Carillion and the rest is with other clients - so we are a consultancy owned by Carillion, not Carillion's in-house consultancy!" "What does TPS stand for? It is now "The Professional Solution" as it is difficult to match the range of professional design, management and surveying services with anyone else in the UK today.

"Safety, sustainability and innovation are the drivers moving our business forward.

Clients are demanding coordinated solutions to complex project challenges putting us in a unique position to deliver these solutions.

Our culture is one of improvement and to recognise what really adds value to our clients' own businesses".

TPS recently celebrated when Barajas Airport Madrid won the 2006 RIBA Stirling Prize.

TPS led the multi-disciplinary engineering planning and design team - including Richard Rogers Partnership.

TPS also claimed one of the runners up as Schal project managed the National Assembly for Wales using in-house planning supervisors, security consultancy, BREEAM assessors and design advisors - coincidentally the architect was also Richard Rogers Partnership.
