An upgrade of Trianco's Eurostar Premier Eurotrader floor-standing oil boilers to SEDBUK band A efficiency rating is exceptionally cost-effective for versions which can be sited in garages or boiler-houses rather than kitchens.

This forms part of a programme to upgrade efficiencies throughout the range, ahead of the mandatory demand for oil-fired condensing boilers expected from April 2007.

With four-inch conventional flue as standard, and balanced flue optional, the boilers need only four 22mm compression fittings for their flow and return connections.

Range-rated outputs of the two sizes are 14.6 to 26.3kW (50,000 to 90,000Btu/h) and 29.3 to 36.6kW (100,000 to 125,000Btu/h), which renders them suitable both for larger-than-average homes and non-domestic applications.

Easy to install and service, both models are 455mm wide, while heights are 640 and 710mm respectively and depths to the wall, excluding burner depths, are 360 and 440mm.

Trianco estimates that purchase of one of these boilers can cut fuel bills by up to 15 or 20% in comparison with a standard-efficiency model, and up to 30% against an older, existing one.

While sealed systems present no problems for these boilers, the company recommends reference to the installation instructions available on request before specifying or fitting one.
