The Awards are a celebration of the successes achieved in the water, utility and water-using industries will be the focus of attention of the re-styled IWEX Gala Evening, to be held on Wednesday 12th November, in the elegant surroundings of the Imperial Suite of the National Motorcycle Museum, close to the NEC, Birmingham.
The IWEX Innovation Awards 2003 cover six specific categories relative to all aspects of operations, marketing and management within both the water and other utility sectors.

Turret Group, publishers of the quarterly Blinds and Shutters magazine, will be publishing the Blinds and Shutters Buyers Guide at the end of 2005.
Conscience counts on water strategy
16% see reducing their 'environmental footprint' as the major influence on water strategy.
For 2003 they have been re-structured to reflect the changing profile of the industry, in particular including an emphasis on both multi-utility focused businesses and the international scope of many companies.
The categories for entry are * Best Distribution Hardware Technology * Contributions to Environment and Sustainability * International Markets Award * Most Effective Monitoring and Control System * Most Innovative and Effective Multi-Utility Service * Innovative Processes Technology * Outstanding Individual The seventh award will be the inaugural Outstanding Individual Award that will be awarded to an individual in recognition of their service to the industry.
The recipient will be the first member of the IWEX Hall of Fame.
The judging panel, under the chairmanship of Phil Alsop, Editor of Wet News brings a wealth of experience in the water and utility industries, and comprise David Neil-Gallacher of British Water, David Hellier of the GWINTO, Tom Stephenson of Cranfield University's School of Water Sciences, Carol Hickman of the SBWWI, Paul Reiter of the IWA, Nick Reeves of the CIWEM, Simon Doggett of DEFRA and Richard Hardiman of Trade Partners UK.
Timetable Closing Date for Entries 1st September 2003 Shortlist announced - end of September Awards Dinner - 12 November 2003 The shortlist will be announced in September, and the presentations will be made at The IWEX Gala Evening, to be held on Wednesday 12th November in the elegant surroundings of the Imperial Suite of the National Motorcycle Museum, close to the NEC.
Speaking for Turret RAI, the organisers of IWEX, Rob Lozowski said, "It is our intention to give the water industry a quality event befitting the status it deserves.
