A fully revised and updated edition of The Insulation Handbook is being prepared now by published Turret Group.

Covering thermal, fire and acoustic installation materials as well as asbestos removal companies and relevant associations, the handbook, which was first published in 1959, is supported by the two leading associations for the sector - TICA, the Thermal Insulation Contractors' Association and TIMSA, the Thermal Insulation Manufacturers and Suppliers' Association.

Last published in 2002, the Insulation Handbook provides architects, quantity surveyors and contractors technical details of all types of insulation, along with supplier details.

The guide also gives details of grants and government initiatives aimed at promoting more effective insulation as a way to curb greenhouse gas emissions.

Listings within the guide are free of charge to relevant companies and the entry form can be downloaded at the website.

Closing date for entries is 30 April 2007.
