Shanghai Institute of Architectural Design and Research is showcasing Trespa architectural panels and the new Perspectives design concept.

The Shanghai Institute of Architectural Design and Research is an important professional business and social centre and the source of new ideas for Chinese architects, their clients and visitors As part of the renovation, the Institute is showcasing Trespa architectural panels and, in particular, the new Perspectives design concept Renovation of the Shanghai Institute coincided with Build Expo 2006 at which Trespa was exhibiting

As a result of visiting and seeing the Trespa products on display, the Institute?s designer realised that he had found the perfect material to create some decorative features which would be very attractive and also stimulate the imagination of architects and visitors.

Visitors to the Institute are welcomed in the reception area by a dramatic backdrop of Trespa panels.

Nearby to the elevator is another decorative montage formed with blue Trespa Virtuon panels.

Architects looking for new materials and new ideas have been enthusiastic.

These displays are increasing demand for Trespa cladding and wall lining panels in Shanghai ? currently, one of the world?s largest construction sites.

Trespa Virtuon and the Perspectives concept.

The Virtuon montage demonstrates how the product can be used in an unusual way.

The Chesterfield design derives from the Perspectives concept which Trespa has recently introduced.

This is not a product range but a way of stimulating the imagination.

It is designed to show architects and designers how Trespa panels can be adapted, changed, moulded and fixed in various ways in order to create quite different and aesthetically pleasing surfaces without changing the fundamental characteristics and performance of the product.

Manufacture of Trespa panels.

Trespa panels are based on thermosetting resin, homogeneously reinforced with 70% wood fibres and manufactured under high pressure and high temperature.

The result is a panel which is very tough and exceptionally durable, with dimensional stability and workability similar to hardwood.

The smooth, non-porous surface resists the accumulation of dirt and retains its high physical performance and appearance in any weather or in extremes of temperature.

The high impact-resistance of the panel means that it cannot easily be damaged, scratched or abused and is very easily cleaned.

A new design source.

Trespa Perspectives is a new source of inspiration for architects, designers and specifiers ? the means to stimulate new ideas and realise new designs.

By visiting the website and clicking on Projects, they can meet other architects and designers whose imagination has been inspired by the Perspectives concept and who have used it to create some of today?s most exciting building faccades.

Visitors to the website start with a click and finish with inspiration!.
