UK Thysis Building Products has launched the new "Over-Fascia Vented Eaves Protection System" into the 'Roofline' and 'Roofing' industries.

The innovative design has taken nearly 18 months to come through the marketing, planning, design and tooling stages, and is set to take the market by storm.

Aimed primarily at the 'New Build' and 'Full Replacement Fascia' markets, the several USP's have been designed to make life easier for the installers.

The system comes in two parts; the Over-Fascia Vented Eaves Protector (OVEP) and the Bird Comb (BC).

It is therefore suitable for both 'flat and contoured tiling' applications on roofs between 12.5 degrees and 60 degree pitch when "10mm continuous ventilation" is required.

The products are made in black, injection moulded, UV-stable co-polymer polypropylene.

The products are environmentally friendly as they use 100% re-processed material.

Both products come with a 15 year guarantee.

The OVEP has 1000mm length and 200mm cover width and is designed to resist water ingress and ponding.

This technically superior Eaves Protector has an 'easy fit' overlapping connection, as well as a unique 'split skirt' feature - which allows 240mm sections to be easily lifted, to enable easy installation of gutter brackets.

Engineered nail/screw ports guide the fixings into the centre of the fascia edge, making it ideal for use on all boards between 14mm and 25mm thick.

The 25mm 'nail guide' height allows the use of smaller, readily available sizes of fascia board - saving both time and money.

The engineered Bird Comb is 1000mm long, with a 10andordm; forward-angled comb.

The underside of the base has 'feet' which act as an anti-ponding feature by allowing water in between the OVEP and BC, and into the gutter.

There is a positive engagement of the Bird Comb onto the Eaves Protector via male/female connectors, which removes the 'guesswork' from fitting these products on the roofline.

The system is nesting insect, bird and rodent resistant.

It satisfies all NHBC requirements and complies with BS 5250 : 2002.
