New University of West England Campus.
Turner and Townsend have just completed their role as cost manager for the construction of the new Student Village at the UWE's Frenchay campus near Bristol.
The University Of West England (UWE) gives a warm welcome to 1,932 new Students as they trade their parental homes for a life of freedom and luxury in the new Student Village As another academic year begins, first year university students begin to settle into their first term away from home, which has been made easier for those fortunate enough to be living in the newly completed Student Village at the University of West England, Bristol

The development comes as UWE aim to enhance students' campus experience and consists of:.
* 1,932 student bedspaces in twenty four blocks based around four courtyards - all en-suite, all with large desks and well-designed storage.
- free internet access and direct connection to the University's IT network.
- TV points in all bedrooms with access to freeview channels.
- two cookers, two fridge-freezers and a microwave in each spacious kitchen.
- three-seater sofa, easy chairs and coffee tables for relaxing in each communal living area.
- four courtyards, each with its own bike storage and launderette.
- 24-hour staffed reception in each courtyard, extensive CCTV monitoring and on- andbull; fully adapted accommodation available.
- UWE buses to and from the city centre.
- Twelve court sports hall with associate facilities (aerobics, gym, squash courts, cafe etc).
- 1200 space car park.
While the flats themselves have been open to custom for a few months now, the sports facility has just seen their opening, held on the 9 October 2006 with special guest Olympic Gold Medallist, Jason Gardiner.
