Turner and Townsend shortlisted for 3 APM awards
Turner and Townsend is shortlisted for three prestigious Association of Project Management awards.
International construction and management consultant Turner and Townsend is shortlisted for three prestigious Association of Project Management awards.
Kerri Justice-McKeand has been shortlisted for Young Project Manager of the Year award.
28 year old Project Manager Kerri is based in the Edinburgh office of Turner and Townsend and is currently involved in phase 1 of the masterplan for National Museums of Scotland, a hospital refurbishment for NHS Fife alongside a roll out programme for the Driving Standards Agency.
A qualified Quantity Surveyor, Kerri is currently studying for her Masters in Project Management at Napier University.
Kerri's award submission was based on a culmination of her experience as a Project Manager to date, working on a variety of projects such as The Aquarium of the Loch at Loch Lomond as well as the fast-paced retail refurbishment programme for Monsoon Accessorize.
For the first time, two Turner and Townsend projects have been shortlisted under the Community Project of the Year category.
The first is the Earthscape works at Our Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh, a visitor attraction located adjacent to the Scottish Parliament dedicated to charting the history of planet earth.
Project Manager Mark Bruce led the commission which aimed to mark key historical periods of Scotland's history and development over the last 2600 million years using the existing Amphitheatre area to the front of the building and introduced new exhibits including Slice Through Scotland, Scotland's Journey, Earth's Structure, Globe, Geo-Garden and Hutton Interpretation Panels.
The Bedgebury Community Building project is also shortlisted for the Community Project of the Year award.
Michelle Barber project managed the new build of a timber structure for the Forestry Commission in the Bedgebury Forest in Kent.
The building houses a new education facility, cycle shop where visitors of all abilities can hire bikes, a refreshment kiosk, an office for staff and the Friends of Bedgebury Pinetum and WC and shower facilities.
