Turner and Townsend has appointed Tim Baker as a Director in Facilities Management Consultancy.

Turner and Townsend has appointed Tim Baker as a Director in Facilities Management Consultancy This appointment follows strong business growth and is the first of a number of senior appointments in the Facilities Management consultancy business

A specialist FM consultant with over 20 years experience, Tim has particular strength in the health sector having worked in the field since the early first wave PFI schemes.

Tim joins Turner and Townsend from Tribal Secta.

From his base in Manchester, Tim will be responsible for the further development and growth of Turner and Townsend's FM service capability across the North West, the North East and Scotland.

Jim MacFarlane, Director of Facilities Management at Turner and Townsend, said: "We are delighted to welcome Tim to Turner and Townsend at a time when our FM service portfolio continues to grow with the support of clients such as Siemens Real Estate, City of Edinburgh Council, the Home Office, DTI, Imperial War Museum and North West Development Agency".

Tim said: "I was looking to join a consultancy with a real commitment to providing Facilities Management consultancy services across a wide spectrum of market sectors".

"I hope to further develop Turner and Townsend's services for operational PFI schemes as well as continuing to provide client/bidder side support during procurement".

Tim has successfully delivered many major healthcare PFIs, most recently at Reading, Derby and St Helens from the original business case through procurement to financial close.

Tim lives in Marple Bridge with his wife Jill, a college lecturer and his two sons.
