Turner and Townsend Rawlinsons appointed for Santos HQ in Adelaide
International construction and management consultant Turner and Townsend Rawlinsons is continuing its strong relationship with the Australian oil and gas exploration and production company Santos with its appointment as Quantity Surveyors for their new Headquarters project in Adelaide This appointment follows Turner and Townsend Rawlinsons' involvement in the successful delivery of the A$480m Mutineer Exeter FPSO Project offshore the north west shelf of Western Australia, the first offshore oil development operated by Santos

Turner and Townsend initially provided project controls and cost and schedule engineering on the commission however this was extended to include benchmarking via the Performance Forum, contract administration and engineering with an ongoing requirement for operational cost and contracts support.
Harry Carrick, Managing Director of Turner and Townsend, said: "This appointment builds on the success of our existing commission with Santos and is an exciting opportunity for Turner and Townsend Rawlinsons to continue to develop our expertise in the development and delivery of some of the most challenging oil and gas developments in the world".
The new 12 level headquarters building in Adelaide comprises of 15,500m2 of commercial office space.
This purpose-built office has been designed to achieve an ABC Green Star Rating of 5 Stars.
It will accommodate Santos's Adelaide staff as well as a biostratigraphy laboratory, core sample preparation and workshop.
Work commenced on site June 2005 and will be completed by April 2007.
Turner and Townsend Rawlinsons also previously delivered contract services on the Casino Gas development near Port Campbell in Victoria, which related to the onshore and offshore scopes, and subsequently to the development planning for the Henry field step-out and projects in Indonesia.
